Shrewsbury, UK

Dan has appeared a number of times on Caffe Nero stages as well as on the Caffe Nero playlist and we welcome him back to Black Deer.

Dan Owen was born on May 11, 1992 in the English small town of Shrewsbury, northwest of Birmingham. Already as a child, he learned to play the guitar and later earned himself the nickname “Blues Boy Dan” as a result of the blues repertoire he used to perform at pubs and clubs.

When he finally began writing his own songs, various different types of music flowed into his self-written works: rock, reggae, and pop. Dan has played support slots for superstars like Birdy, Kaleo, Bryan Adams and Alice Merton. In August 2018, he autonomously released his debut album “Stay Awake With Me”, which has since been streamed 60 million times.
