John J. Presley is a multi-instrumentalist based in Brighton. Having trod the boards in Birmingham in his formative years, Presley now calls Brighton home after a few years in our fair capital.
His latest release, Chaos & Calypso has really connected and continues to find fans across the board. And it is across the board as Presley’s music is hard to categorise, but that is it’s strength – from tasteful guitar tones and songwriting, to immense pushing of sonic boundaries of both guitar and amp, to delicate moments of pedal steel and flute, to jazz inspired chaos and motifs, it’s a tapestry that pays homage to his sonic leanings as well as carving out his own.
