The SupaJam and Black Deer Partnership
The Power of Partnership
Black Deer has proudly partnered with SupaJam since the very beginning.
With four specialist music colleges across the South East, as well as the recently launched SupaJam Foundation charity, SupaJam transforms the lives of young people who’ve fallen out of mainstream education, using music and media as tools to rebuild confidence, creativity and career pathways.
This partnership offers students unique, real-world experience at a Black Deer event, from working in sound and lighting to artist liaison and PR.
A SupaJam Stage Built on Stories
For Black Deer In The City at Tobacco Dock, SupaJam will curate a powerful music programme themed around intergenerational storytelling. Expect a rich blend of emotion and authenticity as seasoned Americana and Country artists share the stage with SupaJam’s rising student musicians.

Artists from across the UK’s vibrant Americana scene will take to the SupaJam stage, including Brooke Law, Kate Ellis, Two Ways Home, Phil Hooley, Florence Sommerville, My Girl The River, Steve Young, Isabella Coulstock, Katy Hurt, Michele Stodart, James Hodder, The River Flows with more names to be announced soon.
Daily Headline Acts
Each day, a special guest with a personal connection to SupaJam will perform a 30-minute set of heartfelt originals.
Story Song Circles
Twice daily, three artists will come together for a Nashville-style songwriter’s round, trading stories, harmonies and the life moments behind the music.
SupaJam Songbook Sessions
Hosted by The Irish Passport Band, these drop-in jams invite musicians and audiences alike to sing along to Country and Americana classics from Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile to John Prine and Johnny Cash, complete with printed song sheet so everyone can join in.
The Story Behind the Songs
Before each headline set, SupaJam’s special guest artist will be interviewed live on stage, sharing the inspirations, struggles and stories behind their songs.
Sing Along Sessions
A daily singalong session with Murphy's Law band leading the way. Get those vocal chords tuned and ready!
SupaJam Students
Each day, students and mentees will have a midday performance slot, that will showcase SupaJam's impact through its education and mentoring programmes, proving that with the right support, every young person can find their voice.
About SupaJam

The SupaJam Foundation: ‘Music Is My Power’.

The charity currently offers three key programmes, including mentorship, providing educational provisions with access to mental health support and funding, as well as offering young people transformational experiences in the creative industries.
